On Jocelyn's notification, I rushed to the hall to see if my wayyy overdue title was realli finally up.

 

Awesome? Its supposed to be joyous, but i felt more indignant than joyful. I've been waiting for this day for so long. My name is late for 1 entire year. Its supposed to be up since last yr prelims. And they HAD to put ChuYi's name up at the same time as mine. No offence to chuchu though - she's great. I just wanted a little bit more recognition, abit more honour, abit more individuality, abit more than 'just a name on the board'.. Looks like i'll never get to be the "previous" council president.

You'd say im petty, but i'd say you're not me, so you don't know how it feels.

What if ur DNA was written in HTML?

Everything about you would be mapped out in a mindless spam of alphabets and numbers. Every single detail such as the shape of your nose, the scolour of your eyes, the tone of your skin; all translated into visible, understandable form. It could probably be saved into a thumb drive the size of 32 terabytes.

What if one day you found the password to your DNA? What would you do? What would you change?

Would you edit ur brain power? Enlarge your memory? Double the RAM?

Or would you make your feet smaller? Stretch yourself taller?Modify your complexion?

If u ask me, i'd change metabolism from 60 to 100 or something. Maybe slash stomach capacity by half, and cut weight retention to a fraction. Arms bigger, shoulders broader, and maybe butt firmer? And yes, remove myopia.

But i do hope i dun screw it up. I can just imagine what would happen if I left out a <p> or sth and my DNA would refuse to render.

And then you can imagine the mess the world would be. Thank You God, for not providing such technology.

But besides that, how you live your life is more than just DNA; Who you are, is who you make yourself to be.

Who you should be, is what God wants you to be.

Alright before i can breakaway i first kinda need a break. Tiring week; physically and emotionally. Ups and downs. Oh well, part and parcel?

Brought the cg to play Bball at NY today for fellowship, so of cos i had to show off abit.. Showed them the pic of me on the wallpaper and look what they made me do:

Glory to glory you say? I certainly hope so. Think i have since grown (in places where i shouldn't)..

Anyway, rushed down to expo for Security Training after that. Really awesome; Had lotsa fun trying to handle "flakey" situations, got to reconcile with the team C ppl and a pleasant surprise from the ministry:

Like FINALLY. After 2 years in the ministry, i finally get my tag. It really should have came ALOT earlier but there's always cock-ups and all. Well at least it made me cherish this alot more. It's really hard-earned...

Aight before i doze off on my keyboard, nights.

Enjoying my well-deserved break; Lotsa food, lotsa buzy-ing, lotsa spending... However, its already Sunday and tmr will be kinda my last day of enjoyment befre the routine starts all over again. Sem2 has got new timetable; how exciting. Here's a peek into my exciting sem2 life.

Pit Stop

What a rare afternoon spent chilling at Coffee Bean.

Sometimes taking a break can be as simple as sitting on a comfortable couch, drinking coffee, reading a book and listening to some music. Ironically, we are multi-tasking even when we are relaxing..

Well at least i get to sit down with one mind, without having to think bout plates, integration, kinematics or keynesian theory.

Hah! Really thank all you guys for your prayers. Prayer really works wonders. PTL!

 

Anyway, its finally time to chill abit. Though its still gonna be a buzy weekend, at least i dun have my notes nagging at me at the back of my head.
